Barbican, Old Town of Plymouth. Late December 2003
I was shocked when I got to Plymouth - it looked like some throw-back town in the 50's. It appeared concrete, artificial and neglected. The only place that had some character was the restored old town known as the Barbican. But I like to think of it as the mini version of Gamla Stan in Stockholm...
